
GOAL ORIENTATED MEAL PLANS FOR GYMS
Working on this project I developed 3 different meal plan menus that were to meet the needs of an individual with specific goals in mind.
These different goals were based on a standard gym goer aiming to target one of the following - Muscle gain (Strong) Weight management (Balanced)
Fat loss (Lean).
It was my task to create the recipes that would fit in each goal specific group. I developed a 4 week menu cycle that consisted of 180 plus recipes which would include breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks across each meal plan range.
These meal plan categories were
Green Plan (Vegan), Lean Plan (Low Carb) & Strong Plan (High Carb).
All meals varied in different macro ratios and caloric value to be able to be categorised into each plan with all recipes developed being high in protein, gluten and refined sugar free.
This 4 week meal plan menu is also sold through the menshealthfuel.com platform.

BREAKFAST EXAMPLE OF A STRONG PLAN
BANANA PROTEIN PANCAKES WITH MACA NUT BUTTER
For this Strong breakfast plan I wanted to use a breakfast everyone loves but high in protein. I used a good quality whey protein to up the protein intake. The addition of fruits as carbohydrates made this breakfast a perfect option for a post workout brekkie. Finished off with the final touches of superfoods like maca powder and paleo granola.

COFFEE RUBBED STEAK WITH TENDER STEM BROCCOLI
While creating a Lean meal I wanted a good quality source of protein, good fibre coming from the vegetables and good fats coming from the coconut oil. Also the idea of using coffee appealed to me as coffee has been known to increase the metabolism and help aid fat loss. So this meal consisted of vegetables and the steak being cooked in coconut oil with the pan juices being kept to finish off the steak.
